Description


Learners should have completed the Chainsaw Maintenance, Cross-Cutting prior to completing the Chainsaw Basic Felling Techniques (up to 200mm diameter). Our course is a balanced mix of theory and practice. You'll be guided through all the relevant health and safety guidelines to ensure you stay protected on the job. After a look at pre-work preparation, you'll then move on to the hands-on aspect of the course. All the appropriate techniques will be taught, from felling to site clearance. Course sessions: • HSE legislation and safety guidelines • Preparation • Felling techniques • Branch removal – snedding and de-limbing • Taking down hung-up trees using hand tools • Clearing site and chainsaw checks. Worth noting: This a physically demanding course, so you'll need at least a minimum level of fitness.
